What is CSEdWeek?
CSEdWeek, or Computer Science Education Week, is an annual celebration of computer science, and a large part of CSEdWeek includes encouraging students across the country to spend some time coding. The goal of this week is to advocate for equity in the computer science industry.
How was CodeHS involved in CSEdWeek?
CodeHS visited more than 160 schools during CSEdWeek. My role was to diligently monitor every school visit, sending out a playbook to employees one month in advance of the event. I helped answer questions about school visits, determined which schools gave us the proper permission to post on our social media, and interacted with every post, story, and comment from schools or teachers the company visited.
What were the results of the content campaign?
We primarily focused on Instagram, utilizing stories and grid posts. Over the course of a week and a half, we posted more than 45 stories, including 30 unique pictures taken by team members and 15 mentions from schools and teachers. We reached 152% more accounts than normal during this week and engaged with 385% more accounts, increasing our followers and interest in our curriculum.
